A great pocket guide has emerged into the eWorld completing it's life cycle

Kathy Biggs did the dragonfly enthusiasts of California and the whole southwest a great service over a decade ago when she filled a huge void by compiling her extensive notes on dragonflies into her helpful little pocket guides. Since then, she has completely revised and updated them, and I own multiple copies and keep one permanently in my field guide bag that I always grab when I head out into the field.
Now her excellent little pocket guide has reached the final stage of its life cycle by metamorphosing and emerging into the eWorld as a beautiful new creature. Now it weighs nothing and is always available on my phone (as a true "pocket guide"). The stunning photos by Ray Bruun and others can be easily expanded to fill the screen. A great advantage of this eBook version is the inclusion of hyperlinks to distribution maps and extensive additional information that Kathy maintains on her website.

A Fantastic Kindle Edition!!

I recently purchased the Kindle edition of this book and find it to be totally fantastic!! The layout, information and photos are spectacular! The links to additional information about dragonflies of this area was an unexpected surprise that enhances the book even more. Thorough information of Odonata and superb photos make this one of the best ebooks I've ever purchased. It will help make my trip to southern California in search of dragonflies all the more rewarding. I highly recommend it to anyone that has an interest in odonata and especially for those who plan to visit the area. It is the only book you will need!
