The Perfect Starter Book

The book covers a lot of bases for the newbie. Scott uses his project manager experience to lay out a logical, rationale approach to this business.

The book contains a lot of useful advice based on Scott's experience running a business and research on the business. Examples include how to get started, what to expect, realistic profit calculations, reviews and recommendations of vending machines, where to purchase them, the pros and cons of candy choices, where to purchase candy, etc.

He thinks like a business person and provides the reader with his experiences from the perspective of his successful business.

The book is an excellent read and is highly recommended to anyone thinking of getting into the business or curious about the candy vending machine business.

I thoroughly enjoy this book. Each time I pick it up, I get something new from it. I mostly love that It is written in layman's terms so anyone can understand it from start to finish. In my opinion, it covers all areas from A to Z. It informs of all positives and even of the negatives. The author is highly knowledgeable about the content and has an excellent demeanor as well. It lists all the nuts and bolts of going into this from novice to expert levels. He gives excellent advice on business in other areas as well. I highly recommend this book-even if you are only curious about becoming a Confectioner; everyone can grasp something from this book!

I have recently been bouncing the idea around of getting into the vending industry as a way to bring in extra cash flow and possibly an escape for the future. This book really laid out all all the facts for me.... I have decided and will be moving forward with my vending venture!!!

Esotericism at the University of Amsterdam by Wouter J. Hanegraaff and Joyce Pijnenburg (Amsterdam University Press) In 1999, an innovative chair and expertise center was created at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Amsterdam, focused on the history of Western esotericism from the Renaissance to the present. The label "Western esotericism" refers here to a complex of historical currents such as, notably, the Hermetic philosophy of the Renaissance, mystical, magical, alchemical and astrological currents, Christian kabbalah, Paracelsianism, Rosicrucianism, Christian theosophy, and the many occultist and related esoteric currents that developed in their wake during the 19th and the 20th centuries. This complex of "alternative" religious currents is studied from a critical historical and interdisciplinary perspective, with the intention of studying the roles that they have played in the history of Western culture.
In the past ten years, the chair for History of Hermetic Philosophy and Related Currents has succeeded in establishing itself as the most important center for study and teaching in this domain, and has strongly contributed to the establishment of Western esotericism as a recognized academic field of research. This volume is published at the occasion of the 10th anniversary. It contains a history of the creation and development of the chair, followed by articles on aspects of Western esotericism by the previous and current staff members, contributions by students and Ph.D. students about the study program, and reflections by international top specialists about the field of research and its academic development.

I read alot of memoirs about addiction and recovery and let me tell you, I have read my share of hard core storylines.

Having said that, Junkie - A True Baltimore Story is one of the hardest and most honest addiction tales I have ever come across.

Poochie never felt as though she fit in - until she discovered the amazing abilities of Heroin and, of course, crack cocaine. Her downwhirl story begins much earlier than when she takes that first "shot", but rather shows us that a junkie can easily and most often be one "in the making" way before they take that first hit of the drug.

What I loved about this story is the development of Poochie and how she constantly chooses the path of destruction, despite the fact that she, on many levels, knows better - the story of every addict.

The tale is harsh, honest, brutal and extremely well told. For anyone who is or has been addicted and for anyone who loves an addict, some part or all of this story will resonate with you.

This book is not for the faint of heart - its hard to read and made me cringe, cry and feel fear, sometimes all at the same time!

However, this book is an important addition to the world of books on addiction - telling the truth about this disease.

The true heartfelt story of true addiction and recovery

I have read many books about addiction and recovery. In this book "Junkie - a true Baltimore story" Tia Lincoln touched my soul, as the book began I felt as though she was speaking about me, my life and my childhood. It was eerie. This book is the most honest book on addiction I have ever read. It is written by the addicted girl, Poochie, her life, how it pans out and how she saves her own life. This book is powerful in its honest, clear writing,and is the story of a young woman dealing with being addicted to drugs, how she feels, what she is thinking, what she does and she lays it all out there, no matter who may judge her.
I read this book in an afternoon, I could not put it down. This is a book I will pass along to someone who is addicted so they know they are not alone and there is hope.

I enjoyed this. I don't know why people are complaining about the language. If you've seen the HBO documentary "The Corner," you won't hear (or read) anything new. I don't know why anyone would expect an uneducated inner-city junkie to speak like Richard Attenborough.

John Swales' textography might also be called 'comparative rhetoric in a small building,' offering proof, once again, that another culture may be only a trip up or down a flight of stairs. On its three floors, Swales finds modes of text-building as distinctive and exotic as field-workers find in remote valleys and isolated islands: one floor languaging about frozen Unix stations; the next creating, partly in Latin, the Flora Novo-Galiciana; and the third offering a range of genres that attempt to variously negotiate the 'theory-practice' requirements of English as a Second Language. Each community is closely observed and described in almost sensuous detail, so that we gain not only real insight into the way the writing is done on the three floors, but feel also the adventure of it, and, best of all, learn to hear the individual voices in each community. Swales invents for himself a robust new genre--textography--and shows how engaging a genre it can be.

Kaidan pushes me harder into the wall and buries his face in my hair, inhaling the scent of me. He lays his lips against my ear.

“Do I need to teach you a lesson?” His voice is dripping with lust, and every place on my body where he’s touching me radiates heat.

I want to tell him to get off me… He’s a jerk. But that’s not what comes out of my mouth. “It depends what kind of lesson you think I need.”

With one swift movement he twists me around so my back is against the wall. I can barely see him in the dark, but when his lips meet mine, I close my eyes and sink into the warmth of them. wow Kaidan and Hayley can be a great relationship but they both have baggage Kaidan due to his father and his ex girlfriend who seems to look like Hayley ... then Hayley who is having a hard time in order to get her inheritance she must steal a necklace that once belonged to her father but was given by her father to the Stones in which Hayley's fathers ex girlfriend is now dating Kaidan's father ... and can she get it before her or her brothers lifes end .... and what about Kaidan and what he said though drunk .. but to Hayley will never be something she will unlikely forget .. to find this and more out buy it and read it asap .. this was a ARC review .... and boy was it the edge of your seat type of story cannot wait to read the next book .,

OMG this book was incredible. It drew me right in. Poor Hayley fist he father screws her from beyond the grave by denying her inheritance until she recovers a lost family heirloom. Then she meets a hot sexy stranger that's as confusing and frustrating as all hell. Then he father screws her again when his debts are set on Hayley's shoulders. I mean how much can one person handle. I would have locked myself up or ran back to the east coast. Can Hayley figure out the hot and cold Kaidan Stone without losing her heart in the process. And is she safe from her father's past. Will she figure out how to get her inheritance. I am dying to get the answers. This story pulls you in and your hooked to every last word. Then you screaming no please don't end yet I want more

I am loving this series so much. Hayley lets Kaidan talk her into a second chance. And it's a doozy of an chance. Can she figure out what is behind the mask he wear for the world or will he break her heart. And what is with these crazy women. And now what will she do about her brother. I can't wait to see what Hayley does next.

Stolen desire
OMG.. Twist after twist. This story (and series) is filled with so much drama, excitement, romance, and chaos you'll be biting your nails and pulling out your hair. Hayley is still tring to figure out how to pay her father's debt and save her and her brother from these goons. All the while she's dodging paps and trying to find a way to make money. But of course nothing ever goes as we plan does it. As Hayley and Kaidan's romance heats up will their secrets tear them apart. This is another edge of your seat installment to the Stone brothers series.

I read all four of the individual books as they came out and they are absolutely AMAZING. You will definitely be happy that you picked up this bundle.

In this first book, we meet Hayley Wade, daughter of the lead singer of rock band Seventh Inferno. She has just recently learned, via a ScandalLust article, that her father is dead and she is waiting to find out about her inheritance. She is devastated to learn of the condition she has to meet if she wants to get her inheritance before she turns fourty. She might be naive, but she picks up on the smarminess of her lawyer.

Then, as she is leaving the lawyers office, she runs into Kaidan. He grew up surrounded by big time stars due to his Father and never wanted to be in the spotlight. But, once he makes the Lust List, he becomes America's newest celebrity. Strangely enough, neither of them know anything about who the other is. She thinks that the paparazzi is there for her and he helps her get away from them. He thinks she is playing coy with him, not knowing that she really doesn't know anything about him - after all she grew up on the East Coast from the age of thirteen.

Although this book is somewhat short (approximately 130 pages), there is a lot of ground covered and we get plenty of background story on the two main characters in this book. They both seem to be very dysfunctional, so I am looking forward to the next book in the series, to find out how he rebounds from his major screw up and if Hayley is able to resolve the drug dealing debts her father left her with before she ends up dead.
